What was the event brief & objective?
Our objective was to deliver a high quality awards ceremony for 250 business professionals in a prestigious London venue. The event needed to include both a pre- and post-ceremony drinks reception to create opportunities for networking. Our overall objective was to create a seamless guest experience that felt professional and memorable from arrival through to the end.
Why was the Science Museum chosen for this event?
The Science Museum was chosen as it is an iconic London venue in a convenient location for guests travelling across London and beyond. Illuminate stood out because of its impressive views across London and the space was suitable for our guest numbers.
What sort of experience did you want to create?
We wanted to create an elevated and engaging experience that felt welcoming and celebratory. We wanted to include focal points throughout the space that elevated the attendee experience and gave a premium feel.
What made you decide on Illuminate for your event?
Illuminate was selected due to its combination of location, panoramic views and prestigious reputation.
How did this space work for the event? What was the benefit of using this space?
The space worked well for the format of the event. One of the key benefits was the layout, which meant the awards ceremony and drinks receptions could take place in close proximity across both floors. The standout features were definitely the views of London which provided a great backdrop for the awards.
Who were your catering and AV partners? Did they create anything bespoke for the event?
Catering was provided by Moving Venue. They served a selection of canapes pre- and post-ceremony. We also hired a bar and offered a signature mocktail.
Production was provided by White Light who delivered AV. This included staging, lighting, sound and presentation support to ensure the event ran smoothly and created the right atmosphere for the evening.
What feedback did you receive from guests?
The overall response to the event was extremely positive, with attendees particularly impressed by the views from Level 5.
