Why did you choose the Science Museum for your event?
Our brief was to have a wow factor, memorable event for a product launch – a new technology in fungicide – so the Science Museum was a suitable fit on many levels.
How did you choose which spaces at the museum you wanted to use?
We wanted the impact of the big Entrance Hall and then we had a choice between Mathematics: The Winton Gallery and Exploring Space. When looking around Exploring Space we felt this fitted our needs better as it was a little bigger and as soon as we saw Illuminate we knew it would have the impact we wanted for the dinner element of the event.
What was the benefit of using Exploring Space and Illuminate?
It was an easy transition from the Entrance Hall down into Exploring Space, so it made it more fluid for guests, and it was nice to have the use of the exhibits within the room which also tied in nicely to the theming of our event. Illuminate worked so well for our evening meal – the view from the panoramic window was perfect, and the size of the room worked well for our numbers. We had a stage, and it didn’t feel cramped nor sparse.
Who were your catering and AV partners? Did they create anything bespoke for the event?
We used White Light for AV and Moving Venue for catering. White Light created a stage and backdrop for us and also gobo’s for Exploring Space that worked really well. The catering was flawless, from the table settings to the delivery of the food, I would highly recommend both for any event requirements. Both companies kept in touch regularly and were a great support on the day.
What feedback did you receive from guests?
We have had nothing but positive feedback from our guests. They thoroughly enjoyed their night at the museum!
