What was the event brief & objective?
To position our company, Content Guru, as a visionary leader in AI and customer experience, exploring how communications technology has evolved over the past 25 years and how it will continue to develop over the next 25. We hoped that a high-quality event like this would impress and engage key customers, partners, and prospects to help build and nurture these relationships.
Why was the Science Museum chosen for this event?
The Science Museum represents cutting-edge discovery, progress, and historical innovations, making it the perfect backdrop for an event focused on technology and the future of AI. It reinforced our brand’s position as a forward-thinking company with a basis in technological advancement. Being located in central London made the venue easily accessible for both UK and international guests.
What sort of experience did you want to create?
We wanted to create an event that was both immersive and thought-provoking – one that encouraged people to consider not just what’s next, but what’s possible by 2050. We wanted the experience to demonstrate intellectual depth and technological credibility. This included keynote speakers offering specialised perspectives, panel discussions with industry experts, and real-world case studies that balanced imagination with practical insight. Ultimately, we wanted our guests to leave feeling inspired and excited about the future.
How did you choose which space at the museum you wanted to use?
Illuminate met all our requirements in terms of capacity, catering, and AV.
How did Illuminate work for your event?
Illuminate was an excellent choice for the event and worked perfectly for the experience we wanted to create. The venue’s panoramic views of London provided a stunning backdrop, while its flexible, high-tech space allowed us to take full advantage of its dynamic visual features, from lighting in our brand colours to curved wall vinyls, and screens that brought our content to life.
The private nature of Illuminate was also a huge benefit, giving us exclusive use of the space. The layout was ideal, with a spacious main stage area, a dedicated zone for networking and dining, as well as convenient amenities like a cloakroom and private toilets – all of which contributed to a seamless and high-quality guest experience.
Who were your catering and AV partners?
Our catering partner was Moving Venue, who provided a selection of menus that catered to all dietary requirements. We chose a menu that not only offered variety and quality but could also be adapted to tie into the theme of the event. We accompanied each dish with information on how its ingredients could benefit brain health – linking back to the event name. This was well-received by our guests. The Moving Venue team was also flexible with our requests, and allowed us to use non-alcoholic spirits for our custom mocktail recipes.
Our AV partner was White Light, who were instrumental in bringing our vision to life. They lit the space beautifully in our brand colours, which helped create a cohesive and immersive atmosphere. They also managed the audio setup, including music for networking sessions and walk-on/walk-off stings for speakers, as well as all screen content and video playback. They were incredibly accommodating, ensuring the technical elements ran smoothly and aligned with the tone and style of the event. We felt really well taken care of!
What feedback did you receive from guests?
The feedback from guests was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees describing the content as thought-provoking and engaging. Many highlighted the event as a valuable networking opportunity and expressed strong interest in attending a similar event in the future. The venue was a huge draw, and people found the top floor in particular very impressive, with its views over London.
