Celebrating the ‘Mattel Wonder Summit’

Last October we had the pleasure of hosting the ‘Mattel Wonder Summit’ at the Science Museum. The event was in place to celebrate and showcase Mattel’s key brands, show highlights from 2017 as well as new opportunities in 2018 and beyond.

The event, which took place in our IMAX Theatre and Wellcome Wing Basement, welcomed over 300 Licensees and Retailer partners. Key brands celebrated included Barbie, Thomas the Tank Engine, Hotwheels and Fisher Price.

On the day of the event, guests checked and were able to experience and interact with many of our museum galleries upon making their way to our IMAX Theatre for a series of talks and presentations. Using branded pop-corn and water, Mattel were able to create a true cinema-style experience for their guests!

After the presentations, guests enjoyed an exclusive cocktail party in our blank canvas Wellcome Wing Basement. The space was transformed by one our accredited AV suppler Blitz into a bright and engaging space, enabling each brand to come to life through themed canapés and activation areas. Personalising each dish and canapé to Mattel’s key brand specifications was down to one of our accredited catering supplier Bubble.

The creative catering and production input that complimented this event showcases exactly how adaptable our galleries and spaces can be. Brand opportunities are unlimited when fueling your event creatively, and events such as the Mattel Wonder Summit is a fantastic example of utilising a blank canvas space such as the Wellcome Wing Basement to bring a vision to life.
