The Association for Decentralised Energy chose the Science Museum as the venue for a spectacular awards dinner in celebration of the Association’s 50th anniversary.  The aim was to honour the history of the Association and achievements within the sector, and to set out a vision for the future of decentralised energy.

Guests started their event with a drinks reception in Energy Hall, where a live demonstration of our Mill Engine was a big hit.

Guests then proceeded through Exploring Space and Making the Modern World on their way to the IMAX Theatre for the awards presentation.  The client used atmospheric lighting, free-standing screens and wall projections to illuminate the entire route and make it engaging for guests. Dinner was held in the Flight Gallery where guests were surrounded by marvels of aviation history.

Production was by Wise Productions. Sponsors used BeCause and OnProductions to install elements along the path to the IMAX and in the Flight Gallery.

Dinner and drinks service was provided by Food By Dish, who added gold leaf to the dessert for an extra special touch. Mocktails of elder-flower and ginger fizz and a pomegranate crush were served during the reception to pair with sparkling wine.

The Association of Decentralised Energy’s Communications Manager Claire Wych said: ‘It was a pleasure to work with the team at the Science Museum to deliver the most monumental event in our recent history: our 50th-anniversary awards and dinner. We were delighted with the excellent level of service that we received from the events team and our members were truly impressed by the event itself. A success all round.’
