Our Flight gallery is now available for daytime event bookings from January 2019. This is the first time that the space has been available to hire during the day. Styled as a replica air hanger and containing many significant objects in aviation history, the gallery will be available on an exclusive basis with limited dates available per month to still allow access to the public on a regular basis.
The Flight gallery can accommodate up to 400 guests for a seated lunch or as a standing break out space. Home to full-sized planes, model aircraft and commemorative exhibits as well as overhead walkways for guests to get up-close to the objects, clients can choose to hire the gallery alone, or in combination with the IMAX theatre or Illuminate.
Jodie Guilford, Business Development & Marketing Manage here at the Science Museum, says: “We are excited to be able to open the doors of our popular Flight gallery for daytime events for the very first time, offering clients the opportunity to make the most of exclusive access to what has been predominately a public gallery until now. With additional options available such as hire of Illuminate and the IMAX alongside Flight, we are looking forward to seeing the inventive event concepts clients will have the opportunity to carry out!”
The Flight gallery is also available for evening hire for dinners up to 400 or dinner with dancing for up to 350 guests. The space can be hired alongside the museum’s new two-level space Illuminate for an evening event, with the option of an early drinks reception in Wonderlab: The Equinor Gallery.
