Smiths Group plc is a leading tech company that provides industrial and technological solutions to global challenges.
The Science Museum was chosen as the venue for the company’s capital markets day on 6 December 2017. Entitled ‘Creating the Future’, the event’s key themes were innovation and the future of technology.
Hosted by CEO Andy Reynolds-Smith and attended by analysts and investors, the event was designed to give delegates a deeper understanding of the Group’s strategy and the actions it had set in motion to drive sustainable growth.
The 130 guests arrived via the main museum entrance and made their way to the registration area overlooking the Energy Hall, just outside Level 1. They were then welcomed into the main event space to enjoy product demos and conference sessions.
Production company Event Concept provided both audio-visual support for the conference sessions and bespoke exhibition design and build.
The client’s chosen caterer Clerkenwell Green provided refreshments, a sumptuous buffet lunch and a canapé reception.
Rebecca Cockram from Smiths said:
‘The venue proved to be the right choice for our event. The blank-canvas and large-event space was ideal for our requirements. We have had a lot of positive feedback. I appreciated having our own lane at the entrance which sped up the entry process, and the staff on the ground floor were also well-briefed which made for efficient entry for our guests.
I really enjoyed working with you on our event – a huge thank you for making it such a smooth and enjoyable process.’
